Thank you for your interest in commissioning a painting. We now live in a world where almost everything is being disrupted. While there are many ways to capture fleeting moment, painting is one of the only way to physically capture a moment in time. Once painting is created, just like any other living thing, it begins the life of its own. This is especially true for oil portraits.
Bronze Level Commission
Happy to provide this portrait or painting commission from photo/video option to my customers during this pandemic. The work will be painted based on the photos and videos that are customers provide. Once we agree on the digital images, size, and cost, we will start the commission.

Silver Level Commission
These commissions will likely include 1 or 2 online sessions to discuss various options. This is a recommended commission for portrait commissions, because it allows me to see the sitter in motion–This is closest thing to being painted from life. Once we agree to pursue a commission project, we will create a workable time and plan.

Gold Level Commission
Notice: Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the gold level portrait commission is not available, but non-portrait commissions are available at a similar price points listed below.
Sitting for Commission portrait provides unique experience that is different than any other art experience. While such experience is so far removed from the norm of many, communities of artists has come together to produce portraits from all corners of the world.
Depending on the complexity and location, each project can span 1 to 5 months. I can work with digital images, but only if the quality of digital images are good enough. For best results, I recommend to meet in person and be painted from life for the full experience. The following prices include 1 to 2 live sittings, each sitting lasting about 2 hours.

These works will be completed using Traditional and Modern Painting Techniques. Unlike Alla Prima as described above for quick portraits, the paintings described in this section will take multiple days to complete (10 – 80 hours) to complete. Added duration is required for certain oil painting techniques that require each layer to dry.

Comparison of the Commission Options
The major difference between the three commission option is the time. And with additional time allows for a whole new level of painting techniques that enhance quality of finished product.

Stronger canvas support is required, especially for larger paintings. This is accomplished in two ways: Thicker Canvas Stretch Bars or Temporary Wood Frame to hold the Canvas.
Shipping
All Commission Works Ship Securely. In general, larger canvas require additional attention, resulting additional cost.
